There are no monthly payments; unless you require Top up TV which will give you extra programmes such as Setanta Sports, Discovery, UK Gold, UK living and so on. This is a personal choice and you will not be charged if you do not require these channels. Freeview can be watched via a wide range of set top boxes or integrated TV’s. Freeview currently supply approximately 35 TV and 25 Radio channels. Most locations can receive the digital signals which provide these programs. Don’t be down hearted if you tap in your postcode and it comes back that you can’t receive digital freeview in your area. This is often the case as a postcode covers a wide area and may not necessarily apply to your property. We have installed aerials in many locations where people have been told they can not receive freeview. If you already have Freeview please be aware that some of the frequencies may be altered in the future; due to the digital switchover. If you do not have a wide band aerial already you may loose several programmes as a result of this switchover. Freesat Freesat is a new product on the market run by the BBC and HTV, to provide top quality programmes via satellite signals. It consists of a dish and a receiver. There is just a one off installation payment to be made to receive Freesat. It is ideal for people in poor aerial signal locations (the aerial provides Freeview and the dish provides Freesat). Unlike digital aerials the dish can be located in almost any location. BBC, HTV and Channel 4 now transmit in HD. So, you can now view HD quality pictures with a Freesat HD box (only compatible with HD TV’s). Not all programmes are transmitted in HD. Freesat is the new way to watch quality digital pictures and more channels are being added every week. Remember Freesat is a non-subscription product.
